🧾 What StashTab does today

Straight answers before you pay a cent

StashTab is a web app right now, and browsers are locked out of your camera roll, your inbox and your social saves for privacy reasons. So here is exactly what works today and exactly what changes when the native iOS and Android app lands. If something isn't real yet, it says so on this page and on the screen itself.

Camera roll photos & screenshots

Partly live

Today: You tap Upload, pick photos from your phone, and they're backed up to your private StashTab cloud and auto-sorted by AI. Deleting the originals is a manual step — browsers are not allowed to touch your camera roll, so we give you a checklist to tick off as you delete.

In the App Store build: One tap. You share photos into StashTab from the Photos app, we back them up, and the originals are deleted from your camera roll automatically with your permission.

Social media saves (TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook)

Partly live

Today: You paste a link (or use the sample stream) and StashTab files it into the right folder with AI. There is no automatic import of your saved/bookmarked posts — those platforms do not open that data to outside apps.

In the App Store build: StashTab appears in your phone's native share sheet, so saving a reel or post into a folder is one tap from inside TikTok or Instagram. Bulk import of existing saves still won't be possible — no app can legally do that.

✉️

Email inbox cleanup

Coming with the app

Today: The inbox sync screen is a working preview: you can set your batch frequency and see how the digest and AI filing will look. It is not yet reading a real Gmail, Outlook or Yahoo mailbox.

In the App Store build: You sign in with Google or Microsoft, StashTab reads your promotional and newsletter mail on your schedule, files what matters, and archives or deletes the rest in bulk.

🧹

Duplicate detection & storage cleanup

Partly live

Today: Duplicate detection runs on the items you have uploaded to StashTab, and deleting them frees your cloud storage. The demo scan card shows sample results.

In the App Store build: The scan also runs across your camera roll, and clearing duplicates frees space on the phone itself.

💳

Pro subscriptions & billing

Live now

Today: Checkout runs through Stripe in test mode while we finish onboarding. No live charges are made yet.

In the App Store build: Same flow, live Stripe keys, plus Apple/Google in-app purchase where the store requires it.

📤

Share → StashTab from other apps

Coming with the app

Today: Web apps cannot appear on the iOS share sheet. Today you copy a link and paste it into the Universal Link Stream, or save an allowed video to your camera roll and upload it.

In the App Store build: A native iOS Share Extension lets you tap Share → StashTab inside TikTok, Instagram, Photos, Safari and anywhere else, so content lands in the right folder without copying or switching apps.

🫧

One-tap capture bubble

Coming with the app

Today: Not possible in a browser — and honestly, not possible on iPhone at all. Apple does not let any app float a button over your screen or watch other apps in the background.

In the App Store build: On iPhone, the honest equivalent is Share → StashTab from any app, plus an optional screenshot automation (new screenshots get offered to StashTab). On Android, a true floating bubble — like Messenger chat heads — IS allowed, so Android gets the always-on-screen capture button.

🗺️ What we're building next

  1. 1. Share → StashTab on iOS. A native App Store app with an iOS Share Extension, so you can tap Share inside TikTok, Instagram, Photos or Safari and send content straight to StashTab — no copying, no switching apps.
  2. 2. Real inbox sync. Google and Microsoft sign-in, scheduled scans, bulk archive and delete.
  3. 3. Live billing. Stripe out of test mode, plus in-app purchase on iOS.
  4. 4. Faster capture. iOS screenshot automation (new screenshots offered straight to StashTab) and, on Android, a true floating capture bubble. iPhones cannot run apps silently over other apps — that's an Apple rule, not a StashTab choice.

Until then, the fastest path is to copy a link and paste it into the Universal Link Stream, or upload photos and allowed videos straight from your camera roll.
